December 10, 2010 - The all new Nissan Micra Diesel is finally launched today in Mumbai, Worli with a price tag of INR 5.85 lac to 6.33 lac (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The bubble car has been launched with two variants for users to choose from- Nissan Micra Diesel XV and Nissan Micra Diesel XV Premium. The 1.5 L CRDI, 8 valves, 4 cyliner engine in the car offers a top power of 64 Ps and a peak torque of 160 Nm. The mileage offered is 23.8 kmpl. This diesel version of the popular Nissan Micra is all set to lock horns with popular diesel machines in the Indian auto market.November 8, 2010 - The pre launch bookings for Nissan Micra Diesel have been commenced from today, i.e. 8 November 2010, in India through its 20 dealerships. The company said that nationwide sales of Nissan Micra diesel will commence from December 10, 2010. The petrol variant of the model has been the best seller vehicle in Nissan portfolio; it was launched on 15 July, 2010 in India. The company is using TV, Radio, print and digital media to make Nissan Micra diesel popular before its launch.

The company has added a diesel version of the Nissan Micra in India which is powered by a 1.5 litre, SOHC, 8 valve, 4 cylinder common rail diesel engine that is capable of producing top power of 64 PS at 4000 rpm and generating maximum torque of 160 Nm at 2000 rpm via five speed manual gearbox. The diesel engine is more powerful than its petrol version. The Nissan Micra Diesel is offered with two variants i.e. XV and XV Premium.
